From: Homeland, To: Home (2019)

A 2-in-1 zine comprised of the hopes, dreams, and what-ifs of immigrants as retold by their children. For this zine, a Google submission form was created for participants to complete the phrases “If I had stayed…/But because I am here…” based on stories they recalled hearing from their parents. No other directions were given so as not to affect what sort of responses were received.

Responses were taken specifically from children of immigrants as a way to show parents that their stories are heard, acknowledged, and shared with others. The zine was designed to be read upside-down and right-side-up, making readers change their perspective in order to read the whole thing.

Zine was printed at 4”x5” and personally hand bound.
